چکیده
The human SMARCA4 transcript has approxi-mately 5500 bp and contains an open reading frame of 4845 bp, predicting a protein of 1614 amino acid residues. There are different transcripts arising from two alternative splicing sites within intron 28 and exon 30, which predict the translation of four different BRG1 protein isoforms. In addition, between exon 26 and 27 and exon 29 and 30 there are two additional exons that may constitute tissue specific transcripts.

Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in a Child with Schimke Immuno-Osseous Dysplasia
Schimke immuno-osseous dysplasia is a rare autosomal recessive multisystem disorder characterized by steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome, immunodeficiency, and spondyloepiphy-seal dysplasia. Mutations in SWI/SNF2 related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a-like 1 (SMARCAL1) gene are responsible for the disease. The present report describes, for the f...

The purpose of the present study was to screen the prognostic targets for breast cancer based on a co-expression modules analysis. The microarray dataset GSE73383 was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, including 15 breast cancer samples with good prognosis and 9 breast cancer samples with poor prognosis. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified with the...
متن کاملHARPing on about the DNA damage response during replication.
In this issue of Genes & Development, four papers report that the annealing helicase HepA-related protein (HARP, also known as SMARCAL1 [SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a-like 1]) binds directly to the ssDNA-binding protein Replication protein A (RPA) and is recruited to sites of replicative stress. Knockdown of HARP results in hypersensitiv...
متن کاملComprehensive characterization of cancer genes in hepatocellular carcinoma genomes
The present study was performed to detect moderate or low-frequency mutated cancer driver genes in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), using OncodriveFM and Dendrix. Following this, integrated analyses were conducted on these novel cancer driver genes. A total of 112,980 somatic mutations were retrieved from TCGA and classified into 11 categories based on their function. Driver genes and pathways w...

Biallelic inactivation of fumarate hydratase(FH) causes type 2 papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC2), uterine fibroids, and cutaneous leimyomas, a condition known as hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer(HLRCC). The most direct effect of FH inactivation is intracellular fumarate accumulation. A majority of studies on FH inactivation over the past decade have focused on the theory t...
